Sidong Feng is an Assistant Professor in the School of Data Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). I obtained my Ph.D. from Monash University , and B.S. from The Australian National University . I was a visiting scholar at the Chair of Software Engineering & AI at the Technical University of Munich.

Software is a human-centric endeavor: created by designers, developers, and testers to ultimately serve and empower the end user. In this ecosystem, AI acts as a powerful collaborator, augmenting both the engineering process and the user experience. Driven by this philosophy, Sidong directs the Software, Human & AI Engineering Lab (SHAEL), which focuses on the intersection of Software Engineering (SE) and Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), by using AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to pioneer intelligent approaches to software design, development, testing, and maintenance.
